What then is the difference between a cup and a mug both of which seem to serve the same purpose of holding hot beverages for drinking? Let us find out in this article.
What is a Mug?

Example: please pass me the coffee mug.

A mug is considered as what you would drink tea in and it’s mostly smaller and wider. A cup is just a glass
Mug is usually larger than a cup.
Although they can be swapped, usually tea and coffee’s are in cups whereas soup and hot chocolates are for the larger mug.
