How to install Plutonium Mod #
Plutonium Launcher #
You can save the launcher anywhere you want, somewhere convenient such as your desktop or the game folder.
The launcher will now start the process of installing the client files.
I just want to update / I already have BO2 installed? #
If you already have the game installed from steam or had a previous update of Plutonium then you can skip the below section and move onto the Installing DLC section.
Installing the base game (BO2) #
This section will cover downloading a copy of BO2. Please skip this section if you already have a copy of the game.
Please note we highly recommend buying the game if you do not own it, it is the best way to get a copy of the game files that are up to date and not corrupt or changed in some way. Key sites will give you a decent discount in 2021.
Torrenting copyright protected files might not be legal in your country even if you already own a valid license! We are not responsible for any legal issues and recommend you to use a fresh install from Steam or a VPN.
Download/open your favourite torrent software. qBittorent Windows x64 is recommended: https://www.fosshub.com/qBittorrent.html
Open the torrent file pluto_t6_full_game.torrent (from the previous step) it will open up your torrent client program and ask you where you’d like to save the game. SELECT THE GAMES FOLDER AS THE SAVE LOCATION, YOU CREATED IT IN STEP 1
Once it’s done you will have your copy of the game downloaded, here is an example of a completed base game folder:
Installing T6 DLC #
Skip these steps if you installed the game via the torrent. This is for people who used Steam, but do not own any DLC.
Download/open your favourite torrent software. qBittorent Windows x64 is recommended: https://www.fosshub.com/qBittorrent.html
Open the torrent file t6_dlcs.torrent (from the previous step) it will open up your torrent client program and ask you where you’d like to save the DLCs. SELECT YOUR STEAM BO2 FOLDER

If you are using a steam copy it will be in this location:
If you are using the torrent it will be in a folder named pluto_t6_full_game 
(If you ever need to reselect the game folder, simply click the COG icon next to the PLAY button)

T6 Error: Invalid Game Path #
As the error says you have a invalid game path selected in the launcher. To fix this issue click the following icon to reselect your game folder:

Note: This section will cover downloading a FREE copy of MW3. Please skip this section if you already have a copy of the game.

Open Steam, if you do not have Steam installed you can download it here.
Method 1 #
Method 2 (If Method 1 does not work) #
If you want the game in your native language we suggest purchasing the game and its DLCs on a key site or during a Steam sale.
Now simply wait for the download to complete, you can monitor progress by clicking the DOWNLOADS text at the bottom of Steam. Once the download completes you will have a copy of MW3.
Installing the DLC #
The section will cover how to download and install the English DLC to get the complete MW3 experience. Note: this DLC will only work on an English copy of the game.
If MEGA does not work for you, you can download the IW5 DLC Torrent.
Congratulations the DLC is now installed!

From the windows file explorer navigate to My PC, then to Local Disc (C:) and create a new folder called Games.

If you are using the torrent it will be in a folder named pluto_t4_full_game

T4 Error: Invalid Game Path #
As the error says you have an invalid game path selected in the launcher. To fix this issue click the cog to reselect your game folder.

Q: How do I install Plutonium IW5 / Modern Warfare 3 game files?

Q: Will I get VAC banned for using this?
A: No! Plutonium IW5 has it’s own servers and is entirely separate from the steam version. We also don’t modify your game folder to ensure complete separation.
Q: Can I use controller
A: Yes you can, we have native controller support!
Q: How can I change the FPS cap?
A: Open the in-game console with the tilde key and enter the following command com_maxFps 250 (This will set max fps cap too 250)

Common Issues
Error: Game crashes on the first-ever launch.
Fix: This is because some paths need re-writing, this will eventually be fixed but relaunching the game should get you going.
Error: Game crashes randomly ingame without any specific error or a crashdump.
Fix: This is most probably caused by shitty AVs such as Webroot/Avast and can’t be solved even if you add Pluto to exclusions. We recommend uninstalling the AV, restarting your PC for changes to take effect and launching the game again.
Error: Unable to refresh server list
Fix: These are all likely firewall problems, ensure Plutonium IW5 (both launcher and game) is allowed through your Windows firewall, ensure your ISP doesn’t have a router Firewall such as Xfinity. https://forums.xfinity.com/t5/Email-Web-Browsing/Unblock-all-websites/m-p/3303661/highlight/true#M215393

Error: Launcher says ‘end of stream’ when launching Plutonium IW5.
Fix: Restart the Launcher.
Error: Sounds are muffled / not right.
Fix: Open the console and type snd_enableEq 0 and press enter.
Error: Unable to see the servers button on the main menu.
Fix: If you are missing the servers option from the main menu do the following:
Enter /kill_dedicatedserver 0 and theater_active 1 into the console then restart the game.
If this doesn’t work it’s likely you are using an unclean install (Lots of random dll’s etc in the game folder)
Please reinstall the base game mw3 via steam https://plutonium.pw/docs/install/#iw5
Error: Mouse does a 180 randomly, or behaves funny.
Fix: This is a problem with the base game showing it’s age, lower your mouse polling rate to around 100Hz. Also try changing the MW3 process priority from high to normal.
Error: Could not authenticate: token expired
Fix: This issue is caused by your PC’s clock not being set correctly. Please update it to the correct timezone.
Error: MENU_CONTENT_NOT_AVAIVABLE
Fix: You will get this error if you try to join a server running a DLC map when you yourself don’t have the DLC installed.
Solution: Install the DLC https://plutonium.pw/docs/install/#installing-the-dlc
Error: It appears you have selected an invalid game folder 
Fix: This is because you didn’t select a valid MW3 folder. If you are confident you have the right folder selected and are still getting the error this means your game install is incomplete or broken. Follow this guide.
Error: Stuck on bound to socket / Stuck on cmd window / game not starting at all
Fix: This is caused by some software running on your machine clashing with Pluto. SONAR RADAR, SONAR STUDIO, GAMERSFIRST IV, NAHIMIC, ADVANCED SYSTEMCARE ULTIMATE, PREMIER OPINION are some of the programs that cause issue, uninstall them if you have them. Can also be caused by some antivirus softwares.
Error: Disc Read error
Fix: Ensure your hard drive isn’t full or close to being full. If there is only a few GB left or less this could result in this error. This could also be caused by a broken basegame, verify integrity of your files through Steam.
Error: steam_api issue 
Fix: Run Plutonium.exe as admin, or alternatively manually go to your game folder and delete steam_api.dll
Error: Oops Plutonium ran into a problem 
Fix: If this is your first time launching the game, please try again as it may resolve itself. However, if this occurs every launch it is highly likely you have another piece of software running interfering with the game, examples of software that cause this issue are MSI Afterburner and RiverTuner. Please exit these if running or uninstall them.
Error: After clicking ‘Play’ or ‘Setup’ the launcher closes and nothing happens
Fix: You may be missing a required runtime, please download and run the Redist Installer. If this does not help, exclude your Plutonium installation from Windows Defender’s scanning by following this guide.
Error: Could not authenticate to Plutonium: snowroller uninitialized 
OR
Error: Handshake: certificate verify failed 
Fix: This error occurs when you are trying to launch an outdated version of Plutonium. However, this should not happen if you are launching the game via Plutonium.exe which checks for updates on each launch. So if you are starting the launcher via plutonium-launcher-win32.exe please do not. Launch via Plutonium.exe
Error: The code execution cannot proceed because D3DCompiler_47.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem.
Fix: You are missing redists the game needs to run. To fix this download and run the following redist installer then restart your pc and it will be fixed: https://github.com/ChxseH/Redist-Installer/releases/download/latest/Redist-Installer.bat
Error: The code execution cannot proceed because D3DCompiler_43.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem.

Plutonium iw5 что это
Mod is being developed by kids in amateur hour. Client and server are trash. Devs are too clueless to understand the needs of a server operator. Rcon does not work properly. They disabled server logging. Servers are either dead or a few players on single map servers.
I could go on but honestly, this is one that should be avoided at all costs. It will never amount to anything other than an evening of frustration and disappointment for you.
Well, for cheat-users it might be a working AC system when it does not ban them (like in these cheaters-paradise-clients he likes so much).

I’ve seen you post before, you seem some what knowledgeable so please don’t jump on this bandwagon, to say VAC is a better anticheat system than the bespoke one implemented in pluto is silly so really the «cheaters-paradise-clients» statement is pretty invalid. Playing on the servers with the least active cheaters seems like the obvious choice for any competitive game so pluto it is for me.
A player banned in this “bespoke one implemented in pluto » AC only needs a new e-mail to get a new client account to continue to cheat with no extra costs (If there is a AC, which we all don’t know for sure).
Don’t get me wrong, I’d love to play a “better” alternative; like many CoD players on PC as well.
We all know that a working AC is a basic requirement for a long-term fun in multiplayer games, so it is just logical that the developers of this client say that there is a super-great-amazing-mega Anti Cheat.
But this mystical and nameless AC system there, that no one can describe, and only need a new e-mail to create a new account, let the skepticism rise and rise.
VAC bans in MW3 are real, even some people want more and faster bans but fact is VAC bans do exist. How about this other system that no one can name or explain?

On our last LAN party I checked out this client over the weekend (also the client for MW2).
In twelve+ MW3 rounds on 3 different servers, I saw some cheats there: at least 4 players with obvious WH who finished the game with scores 270:4 and higher.
I did not see flying or teleporting cheats but WH cheats (and godmode?) are bad enough imo.
Well, Skepticism about this alleged anti-cheat is simply a logical step with such experiences.
Also you never know what this client do on your rig after you install it with Admin rights, which this clients demand. Cheats often comes with malware, so there is another point to avoid clients that won’t improve anything anyway.
Ergo, I will continue to play the steam MW3 DLC maps to play cheatfree (most of the time).
