Вокруг сервера OfflineTV Rust развернулась целая драма. Некоторых опытных Rust стримеров начали банить за нарушение Role Play правил сервера.

Что же произошло? Один из стримеров, участвующих в раздаче Drops, под ником xQcOW захотел зарейдить Zuckles. Однако Zuckles об этом заранее узнал и начал укреплять свой дом, чем и нарушил правила сервера OTV.

Стрим Pokemane

Многие игроки желают получить все скины из раздачи Drops, и гаражная дверь от Pokemane не исключение. Однако практически все стримеры живут по тихоокеанскому времени (Pacific Standard Time, PST), поэтому большинство стримов для жителей СНГ проводится в ночное время.

Когда же следующий стрим Pokimane? На одном из своих последних стримов в конце она сказала примерно следующее: другой стрим точно будет, может быть даже два или три, однако ей нужно некоторое время для отдыха. Причиной тому стало, как она сама сказала, что ей нечего делать в Rust, поэтому она хочет взять некоторое время на собственные дела.

OTV Rust

Offline TV began playing the game Rust on December 26th, 2020 through the arrangements of BaboAbe, a talent coordinator and manager. The server was created as a place for content creators and streamers to produce content for their respective channels.

The successors to the Rust server is Valorant (2nd Valorant arc) and the GTA NoPixel server.

Via Rae, the original cast consisted of Disguised Toast, Pokimane, XChocoBars, Becca, BaboAbe, BrookeAB, Starsmitten, Voyboy, Masayoshi, Brodin, iTzTimmy, Bnans, Natsumiii, Hafu, Shroud, AriaSaki, 5up, Jummy, LilyPichu, KristoferYee, Alexiaraye, Sykkuno, Ludwig, QuarterJade, Jacksepticeye, Edison Park, Kkatamina, Boxbox, Sydeon, Charlie, Sonii, Scarra, Seanic, Ryan Higa, Ash, Yvonnie, Myth, Fuslie, Michael Reeves, PeterparkTV, Plushys, Shiphtur, TinaKitten, Jae, CORPSE HUSBAND, HasanAbi, Karl Jacobs, and Anne Munition. However, the original server had an IP leak, and Abe had to negotiate with the game devs to create a privately-owned server for OTV. While there were some players from the original cast that did not play in the official Season 1 server (ex: Hafu, Seanic) many streamers, big and small, proceeded to join the server, such as : xQc, Pokelawls, hJune, Ray__C, Welyn, Arcadum, Mizkif, etc.

Guest players that exclusively played on the Season 1 server included Tyler1 and Georgenotfound.

On February 3rd, 2021 BaboAbe announced the next map for the rust server [1]

2021 Season [ ]

In a recent Tweet from Abe the Rust server will reoccur once again on July 5 at 12 PM PST. It will be more PvP and vanilla-like, stated by Abe. Controversy quickly followed as Abe then banned several players including Spoonkid and Stimpee.

Players from the previous Rust Discord server are granted automatic spots to the server, meaning that anybody from the previous servers can play on the new server.

Compared to the previous servers, this server is known to have a greater amount of NoPixel-based streamers, as many have befriended OTV-based streamers that prioritized NoPixel as their content (Sykkuno, Ash, Valkyrae, Fuslie).

Streamers such as Jummychu have announced that they will not return to Rust due to other gaming priorities.

2021 Teams [ ]

For the 2021 season, BaboAbe placed a limit of 8 people to one team and encouraged the formation of teams before the start of the server. Allyships are allowed, but this is not the same as a team. As Abe stated online, ‘do not abuse this’ and ‘this does not mean you can run around with 24 people.’ This was meant to make the server more fair and stop teams becoming too powerful.

Всем привет! Уже очень давно я задумал серию гайдов для начинающих растеров, в которых я планирую раскрыть множество аспектов игры, начиная от выбора сервера и заканчивая ПВП и рейдами. В этих гайдах я не буду рассказывать о совсем базовых механиках игры вроде добычи ресурсов или крафта, я думаю, что с этим вы и сами разберётесь, тут я постараюсь осветить немного более глобальные вопросы, которые могут поставить в тупик новичка.

Ну что же, усаживайтесь поудобнее, наливайте себе чайку и готовьтесь читать, информации будет много!
А для тех, кому лень читать, вот расширенная видео версия моего гайда 😉

Во-первых, следует понимать, что глобально все сервера делятся на 2 типа:

Перед тем как мы решим, где же нам все таки играть и куда податься, давайте, для начала, зайдём в игру и ознакомимся с меню выбора сервера и его возможностями. Для этого нажмём на вкладку «Play Game» или «Играть» в русской локализации. Мы увидим меню, которое поделено на 6 вкладок. Давайте пробежимся по всем вкладкам и разберёмся для чего они нужны:

1. Вкладка Official

Здесь представлены сервера от разработчиков игры и их партнеров. Все сервера из данной вкладки полностью соответствует классическому геймплею Раста и не имеют каких-либо модификаций и доната. То есть игра в том виде, в котором её задумали разработчики.

2. Вкладка Community
Раньше тут находились в основном классические сервера, но сейчас данная вкладка содержит и классику и модифицированные сервера вперемешку. Однако, здесь всё еще можно найти хорошие сервера без кардинальных изменений в геймплее. Также данная вкладка будет полезна тем, кто ищет классику с ограничением по максимальному количеству игроков в команде.

3. Вкладка Modded
Тут находятся модовые сервера, каждый из которых лепит из оригинального раста что-то своё. Как правило на этих серверах есть донат и куча плагинов, меняющих геймплей, зачастую тут можно встретить сервера с играющей администрацией. В общем перед тем, как лезть в это болото лишний раз подумайте, а надо ли оно вам? Тем не менее, в этой вкладке также есть и достойные проекты.

Здесь отображаются сервера, на которых в данный момент играет кто-то из ваших друзей по стиму.

Это «избранное» как в браузере. Предназначена для формирования списка любимых серверов и быстрого доступа к ним. Для этого кликните на звездочку у любого сервера из первых трёх вкладок и он попадёт в избранное.

Данная вкладка отображает сервера на которые вы недавно заходили. Полезна, когда вы нашли какой-то годный сервер, но забыли, как он назывался и не добавили его в избранное.

Я думаю объяснять, что это такое не нужно, подскажу только несколько полезных поисковых запросов:

Vanilla или Classic – поможет найти классические сервера с оригинальным геймплеем
Solo, duo, trio, max 2, max 3, max 5 и т.д – сервера с ограничением по количеству игроков в команде
Weekly, biweekly, monthly – Недельный, двухнедельный и месячный циклы вайпа соответственно
Softcore – сервера с режимом Softcore для новичков. О них я расскажу чуть позже

Теперь, когда мы определились, что играть будем на классике, нам остается только выбрать сервер, где мы будем учиться всем премудростям игры. Я расскажу об основных критериях, по которым можно подобрать подходящий:

Во-первых, выбирать сервер мы будем из вкладок Official и Community, вкладку modded мы игнорируем. Давайте зайдем во вкладку Official.

Во-вторых, сразу отметаем сервера от Facepunch. Да, это официальные сервера от самих разработчиков, но они практически не модерируются и там вы столкнетесь с огромным количеством читеров, которые могут полностью отбить у вас желание играть.

Далее мы смотрим на онлайн на сервере. Я рекомендую избегать серверов с максимальным онлайном, поскольку на них будет очень высокая конкуренция, но также стоит избегать и пустых серверов. Я бы предложил вам выбирать сервер с онлайном около 70-100 человек.

Также обращаем внимание на возраст сервера, который показывает сколько времени прошло с последнего вайпа. Очень не рекомендую вам заходить на сервера, вайп на которых прошел совсем недавно, причина все таже, что и с большим онлайном – очень высокая конкуренция. Лучшим выбором будет сервер, на котором прошло 2-3 дня после вайпа.

Ну и последней критерий для выбора сервера – это карта. В игре есть три карты:

Barren / Баррен
По большему счету, это всё таже процедурка, из которой убрали бОльшую часть декораций, таких как трава, различные кустарники и камни, и часть монументов. Карта предназначена для владельцев слабых пк, у которых на процедурке слишком низкий ФПС. Также часто используется на ПВП серверах.

Вот и все критерии, которые нужны для выбора сервера. Следуя им вы исключите все неподходящие сервера и легко сможете подобрать нужный, игра на котором будет максимально комфортной для новичка. Хотя. это все-таки RUST, и слово комфорт не совсем подходит для данной игры 😀

И это, пожалуй, всё, что я хотел рассказать вам о выборе сервера для игры в Rust. Надеюсь эта информация поможет вам найти ТОТ САМЫЙ сервер, который станет для вас домом на многие вайпы 😉

The OTV server is what Rust could be like if it had an option for semi-RP, incentivized PVP.

For those who have followed the massively popular OTV Rust server over the past few days, you can clearly see how fun non-KOS gameplay can be.

This is how fun Rust could be.

Let me start by saying that I’m by no means a new player. I have 1.5k hours on this game, which might be less than some, but it’s more than enough to accurately gauge the state of the game.

Now I know a lot of people love complete chaos, unmotivated raids and clan warfare, but it’s hard to deny that what’s happening on this server right now is 50x more entertaining than any Trust in Rust-style, build-roam-raid server, even when none of the Rust content creators I know and love are here. There’s just so much potential. This game becomes so deep when you’re not incentivized to kill everyone you see the second you see them. Sure there are some on OTV that KOS, but even without the measures that are supposed to come in the next server, kills have a cost. Why? Simple:

They’re publicly broadcast = everyone knows how murderous everyone is;

Alliances are fluid = you can lose the trust of your teammates and allies;

People have a semblance of care for every other on the server.

Can we simulate that dynamic between perfect (bloodthirsty) strangers? Debatable. But we can try.

I don’t have all the answers, that’s not the point of this post, but it’s clear there needs to be something —another type of Official server?— beside the current system.

I do have some ideas, though. Hear me out. There’s been talks of a karma system, and I think that’s a good start, but I’d like to propose something a bit more complex, fit for a complex game like Rust: a player-powered karma system assorted with an alliance system.

Right now, you have your 8-man, your zerg, and you have hazy alliances quickly set up in game chat or something, but everyone outside your 8-man appears the same on your screen: a green-dotless Rust character. What if we brought a little depth to that?

Imagine being able to mark certain people as either «friendly», «neutral» or «enemy», and being able to share that information with your teammates? Suddenly, you don’t have to be so jumpy every time you go through the woods outside your base, because all your neighbors show up on your screen as friendlies, and people who show up as neutral or enemies, you can choose to mow down in true Rust fashion —at the cost of ending on their «KOS» list— or ignore.

Now imagine that, aside from that, you’re able to officially ally another clan, and thus share your friend/foe list? Now suddenly you know that this guy who roofcamped you while you were recycling at Spermket is friendly with your allies? You can now go to your allies and discuss this: can you get your loot back? Can you both rediscuss the friendly status of this guy? (There would need to be some sort of dillution system so that friendlies marked by your direct clan have less weight than friendlies market by your allies, but still.)

Imagine how much power you’d have being allied/friendly with everyone. Now suddenly people don’t want to touch you because you’re allied with X or Y clan, etc. And breaking the peace means way more than a simple «triple headshot, he’s dead!!»

But, whatever it is, we need something beside the current KOS system.

Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk. I love Rust, but I don’t think it’s reached its best self yet.
