When you drop the car off for service, at a hotel or similar, you can use the private locking function to lock the glovebox, tailgate, boot lid or rear seat. The private locking function varies depending on car model.

If you forget your PIN code, or enter the wrong PIN code three times, you use the security code as a reset code. For this reason, store the security code in a safe place.
Choosing a security code
Select your security code as follows the first time you use private locking:
1. Tap on Private Locking in the centre display’s function view.

After you have selected your security code you can start using private locking. You can activate/deactivate the function in the centre display’s function view as follows:
1. Tap on Private Locking in order to activate/deactivate private locking.
The car needs to be in ignition mode I as a minimum for the private locking function to be activated.
Forgotten PIN code
If you have forgotten your PIN code, you can deactivate private locking using the security code you entered when you activated the function for the first time. If you have forgotten your security code, contact an authorised Volvo dealer for help with unlocking.

If the car’s system has been reset to factory settings then the security code is also reset and needs to be selected once again.

The rear seat must be in upright position when private locking is activated in order to be locked. A rear seat in lowered position will not be locked.

С помощью индивидуальной блокировки можно запирать крышку багажника.
S60 и S90
С помощью индивидуальной блокировки можно запирать крышку багажника и заднее сиденье – функция запирает заднее сиденье в вертикальном положении и препятствует складыванию сиденья.
Перед активированием индивидуальной блокировки, чтобы заблокировать заднее сиденье, его необходимо установить в вертикальное положение. В сложенном положении заднее сиденье не блокируется.
